Stone Whistle Creations

About Me

I am a lifelong North Island resident who has been capturing images with cameras for almost twenty years. The majority of my work has bee captured with 35mm film, only recently have I “gone digital”.

My first real camera is a Minolta Maxxum 450si, my newest tool is a Pentax k20d. No matter the method, my favorite subjects are in the natural environment. From mountain tops to shorelines, wide-angle panoramic to larger than life macros.

Why Stone Whistle?

While beach combing on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, I found a special stone. It literally was treasure to me. It got me to thinking how beach combing, and photography can both be seen as metaphors for our lives.

With all three, we are on an adventure of discovery. Finding a “treasure” is like capturing a treasured moment with a camera. Our lives are a continuous adventure, discovering treasured moments that we capture with our minds and hearts, and keep with us always.
